COVID-19

Are classes running? Which ones?

Yes, though not completely. Our classes were suspended for some time during the lockdown in Chicago, but we are back up and running since early June. As of the time of writing this, we are running outdoor classes at Sedgwick & Wisconsin. The Teens class has still been on pause, though we have moved our older teen students into the Adults class. The Teens class taught through Actors Gymnasium in Evanston is now running again as well.

Masks & Social Distancing

Masks are mandatory when you’re in public in Illinois. We would prefer that you wear one and and we have been asking that everyone wear a mask to class. The Illinois mandate says that masks are not required outdoors where social distancing is possible. We do try to maintain a 6’ or larger distance from one another during class. So while we ask you to wear a mask, we cannot force you to. If you choose not to wear a mask, we ask that you put even more effort into keeping your distance from others.

Financial Hardship

As always, we have a “program” for those who are having financial hardship and cannot afford our regular class pricing. This “program” is extremely simple - there is no paperwork at all and anyone is eligible. If you are having a hard time because of COVID-19 or for any other reason, please email me at kurt@parkourways.com to ask about this option.
